I think someone found your blog helpful and they share your content somewhere if you did not do it. Or there is a high chance that you are getting bot traffic.
Maybe you promote it on social media platforms.
Maybe you promoted your Blog on Qoura, Reddit,linkedin or any other social media platform. Or someone may be giving backlinks to your blog.

I agree that maybe someone with a lot of followers shared your content, and that's a good way to get some traffic. Have you tried having other influencers promote your product.
Maybe then your friend must have done something like promoting it on a site or something did you ask him about it?
I don't think that you can get traffic on your blog with doing nothing like you are saying so there must be something!
As he's saying he haven't done a thing and saying that he only told about his site to his friend so his friend must have promoted his site without his knowledge
