SaaS business dealing with sales tax

Hey everyone,

Is there anyone here running a SaaS business? I'm looking for advice on how to deal with sales tax regulations for SaaS businesses selling to customers internationally.

I just want to start a small saas business, but when taking into account the sales tax requirements has made me rethink my decision to start a saas business. In the US alone you have to deal with 50 states with each state having different tax requirements and in Europe, you have to deal with VAT.

Furthermore, there's a GDPR law to comply with when selling to the EU. Where to become compliant is no small task and saas companies are required to follow strict rules for personal data processing.

Another factor to consider. Is it a good idea to register an LLC in the US for non-US citizens outside of the US for my saas online biz?

Last but not least, should I set all these taxes and legal requirements up before I start OR I can just start first and deal with the tax later on as my business grows?

Hi friend, you can automate tax processing through the payment gateway company, like strip, fastspring and so on.
