That depends on the keywords. I'd start with the 10 posts and add as I write more just because that way I'd actually start the blog and have it running.

I think there is no relationship between posting high amounts of post in your blog with seo ranking, the only thing you can do is to use high keywords in your post, this will make you rank on search engines.

According to my experience there no relation to the number of posts you posting at a time or gradually with SEO. You should focus on keyword researching rather than the quantity of posts. Because by using the right keyword you can drive more traffic even if you have just one post.
