Native ads

It is a type of advertising that matches the form and function of the platform upon which it appears. It blends with other media that appear on the website to function like an advertorial. That’s why we call this type of ads as “Native ads”.

Outbrain is the most familiar platform that boosts native advertising. It features your content on some of the reputed content publishing sites. Some of them are, CNN, Sky News, BBC, etc.

Your content must include,

  • Internal links to your website
  • Premium services like any online courses related to your content.
  • Affiliate links
  • Push notifications to collect emails.

For example, if you run your campaign for 30$, which drives a minimum of around 600 visitors. And if, the conversion rate is 3% means 18 visitors buy your service. Let’s calculate the profit you earned from this campaign,

Preminum service cost : 35$

Conversion rate: 3%

Number of conversions: 18

Amount earned from conversion: 18 * 35 = 630$

Profit : (Amount earned from conversion) — (Amount spent for your ad)
630–35 = 595$

  • It creates an increase in purchase intent and visual engagement than the original editorial content.
  • Also, it eliminates ad fatigue which means, the audience getting bored or stops paying attention to your ads. In other words, native ads are brand exposure disguised in editorial content, which doesn’t tire out the audience.
  • And, it has a significant effect on purchase behavior even visitors have knowledge of native advertising.
