Hey Hassan, i just bought the Contabo VPS-S server 2 days ago and bought it through your Aff link. Unfortunately, the Contabo support service is terrible until no any reply from them! My problem is why they assign my VPS account just SUDO user only (Admin) instead of user "Root". That's why i can't install my MailWizz software in this server, also i can't change the PHP.ini file without the "Root" permission!
The VPS is unmanaged type VPS, so i received the email "Your Login Data" is without the info of "root" and the password. OS need to user install manually. But cannot choose the root, just provide the user admin (not Administrator) only.
Can you please help me or someone has any solution or tips to solve this problem? Actually, i just can temporarily use the "sudo su -" to use some root function only.
Hi friend, usually contabo support is very good, even they have a phone number you can call anytime.
anyway, what do you mean by sudo user? I didn't understand, can you please send me the email you received (screenshot), you can hide the password.
and what is the server that you bought?
Hi Hassan, thanks for your fast response and the help. I've solved the problem by changing the WinSCP setting to "sudo su -" and i can modify the php.ini file & save it perfectly.
