You are here, because you are in the second stage of creating your life changing website/blog.Choosing a right hosting is very much important for your blog/websites.(shared vs vps hosting)

Nowadays, Choosing a hosting service for a particular form of website becomes more difficult, and there are many providers available with various solutions that cater to different types of needs.

No need to worried, there are many types of hosting available but the two most common forms of web hosting are shared web hosting and virtual private server hosting(VPS)

In this article, I have covered all the basics of each one like, what kind of features do they offer, and their pros and cons.i don’t want to waste your time so Let’s get started ..!!!!!(shared vs vps hosting)

To make it simple,Shared hosting is the cheapest way of the two choices. You will get a fixed amount of resources and suits for small business (low traffic).

If you consider your blog as a business (need more traffic and conversion )than vps is the best choice for you .

VPS hosting allows you to have more flexibility and efficiency but it is more costly(but not that much easily affordable)!!

What is Shared Hosting?

As the name indicates, you are going to share your server resources with some other website who are on the same shared hosting server!!! simple.(include bandwidth, storage and etc).

Share hosting is the cheapest option but the problem here is you will get limited resources and bandwidth. If another user (who is sharing on the same server)has high traffic then naturally your website will get slow.

To make it more simple, you are spending a lot of money to buy an apartment but you need to share a garden space and pools and can enjoy when no one there that’s a nature.

Why To Choose Shared Hosting?

  • If your aim is to create a Personal blog or personal website .
  • If you’re running a small scale business.
  • Little amount is enough, very cheap.
  • Don’t need any technical knowledge.

Pros in choosing shared hosting

  • Low price.
  • User friendly.
  • Technical skill no needed
  • Good performance in low traffic.

Cons in choosing shared hosting

  • Limited resources storage and bandwidth.
  • You will get suffor when another site gets more traffic.
  • No root access.
  • Security risk will be some more high.
  • Need to upgrade if you get a higher traffic.

What is VPS Hosting?

VPS is similar to the shared hosting like sharing a physical server  but each user will get a separate resource .

Simply another website on the same server won’t affect your performance or will have the great level of controls and root access.

Probably vps comes with little high price (affordable) because it gives you a separate resource speed and flexibility and higher security.

To make it more simple, we can take the same example, you are spending a lot of money to buy an apartment and at the same time you won a garden space and pools and you can enjoy freely at any time.

Why To Choose Shared Hosting?

  • When you consider your blog as a carrier or business.
  • If you plan to scale up your business.
  • If you need or expect very high traffic.

Pros in choosing VPS hosting

  • More space more resource more speed more benefits
  • Root access to your servers
  • Your speed won’t get effect when other persons get more traffic than you
  • Value for money
  • High level performance
  • Security level will be high

Cons in choosing VPS hosting:

  • Little high price when compared to shared hosting.
  • Little technical skill required but can learn easily.

Yes you can, you can host multiple websites on 1 VPS with the help of any control panel like Virtualmin/Webmin, VestaCP, cPanel etc.

I'll highly recommend you Virtualmin
