Every business owner who has ever hosted a blog has felt the agony of trying to gain readership. Though we'd all prefer it if readers just came to us, the reality is that building an audience takes time and effort.

It's easy to become discouraged and give up on blogging, but once you see the results, you'll realize that your blog can have a huge impact on your business by attracting traffic to your site, assisting you in building a social media audience, and making an impression on prospects and clients alike.

Here are some tried-and-true strategies and traffic tools to help you increase readership and traffic to your blog.

  • Better Titles: Make your titles more interesting.

Your blog post titles are almost as important as the content itself.  This is because titles influence whether or not potential readers will click and read more.  Take note of the article titles that appear on magazine covers.

  • Know your Niche

Determine your intended audience, what they want to read, and what specific messages you want to convey.

  • Include images and Videos

According to studies, including photos in blog posts increases readership.  A photo not only improves the visual appeal of the post, but it also allows you to include keywords in the Alt Image tag, which improves search engine optimization (SEO) for your site.

  • Add social sharing buttons.

Make it as simple as possible for readers to spread the word.

  • Repost past content.

  • Invite guest contributors

  • Conduct give-away events depending on your niche

  • Make use of cross-promotion to your mailing list

However anyother thing we should do is to ask our readers if they want to get a message for any new article that we post in this wah over time we will be duplicating our traffic.
